Hey, I'm Kristy Duke.

I help overwhelmed entrepreneurs take control of their small business (and life) through maximizing their profit margins.

But first, let's rewind and fill you in on what steered me in this direction...

For past 5 years I've been the Business Manager for an event venue (Race + Religious) and the Co-founder of a tight-knit community of creative entrepreneurs and annual conference (VenturePOP).

A few years ago, the venue began to aggressively grow and so did the need for better systems, processes, and tracking trends to guide sound business decisions.

During that time, VenturePOP had transformed from simple monthly meetups into an active community and 3-day action packed conference.

It's what we always envisioned to support our creatives: big brand sponsorships, headlining speakers, inspiring venues, and parties every evening to seal friendships.

Over time, it seemed to take on a life of its own.

It became clear that when you're small, you can get away with 'winging it' but as you grow, those careless mistakes become costly and wreckless.

It got me thinking...

What if we ran our small creative businesses as if they were already seven-figure revenue generating machines?

What if wearing a alllll the hats is what's holding us back?

What if we dropped the "I'm just not a numbers person" excuse and started acting like a freaking CFO (Chief Financial Officer)?

That's when my two worlds collided, and I started experimenting...

I began translating systems and processes built to operate a million dollar business, and implemented them behind the scenes in my small business.

A few tweaks changed everything:

I stopped relying on gut checks, chasing the latest thrilling idea, and confidently made sound (marketing, hiring, and pricing) decisions based on facts that clearly guided me.

I decided I had worried enough about tax payments: how much I owed, when they were due, and how they would get paid and created a simple system to eliminate this whole drama.

I was sick of working all the damn time and being on the feast-or-famine roller coaster ride. I started paying myself a predictable paycheck and became selective about working with amazing clients.

I was 'over' hearing myself bitch about clients and resenting them for walking all over me. I created a custom pricing structure based on time spent, expenses paid and charged appropriately to redefine my offerings and love what I do again.

I'm excited to announce that I'll be launching Kristy Duke Consulting this Spring and I'd love for you to be a part of it.
